Job Overview:
The Floor Supervisor – 2-Wheelers is responsible for overseeing daily workshop operations, managing a team of technicians, ensuring timely and high-quality service delivery, and maintaining an organized and efficient service floor. This role involves strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a hands-on approach to ensure customer satisfaction and workshop productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the workflow of all service and repair jobs on the shop floor.
- Allocate job cards to technicians based on skill and workload, ensuring even distribution.
- Monitor progress of work in real-time, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Ensure proper diagnosis, repairs, and preventive maintenance are carried out as per OEM standards.
- Conduct regular quality checks on completed jobs before vehicle delivery.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to technicians.
- Coordinate with Service Advisors to ensure smooth communication between the customer and the workshop.
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and infrastructure are well-maintained and used properly.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and discipline in the workshop.
- Assist in training and development of technicians and apprentices.
- Monitor performance metrics such as technician productivity, efficiency, and rework ratio.
Qualifications:
- ITI / Diploma in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- 0-3 years of experience in a workshop environment; at least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of 2-wheeler vehicles (both scooters and motorcycles).
- Familiarity with service standards and diagnostic tools.
- Good leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to handle pressure and multitask.
