Job Overview:
- As a Certified Diagnosis Technician (Mercedes-Benz), you will:
- Perform advanced vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Support workshop teams in complex fault analysis and repair
- Ensure high-quality repairs and final inspections
Act as a brand representative, maintaining customer trust and satisfaction - Improve workshop efficiency through structured diagnostic processes
- Share technical knowledge and new system updates with colleagues
Key Responsibilities:
- Service & Diagnosis
- Conduct visual inspections and onboard diagnostics
- Perform complex fault diagnosis using diagnostic tools and test drives
- Document diagnosis results and maintain records
- Check vehicle history and processing time
- Diagnosis & Repair Support
- Assist technicians with difficult diagnostic cases
- Ensure systematic troubleshooting methods
- Authorize and sometimes perform repairs
- Coordinate with MB technical team
- Ensure roadworthiness and system reliability
- Explain repairs and technicalities to customers during vehicle handover if require
Required Skills
- Advanced Diagnostic Expertise – Strong ability to perform complex vehicle fault diagnosis, especially in electronic and networked systems.
- Automotive Technical Knowledge – In-depth understanding of vehicle systems, electronics, data bus systems, and repair processes.
- Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills – Capability to analyze complex issues and develop effective, independent solutions.
- Communication & Team Support – Ability to guide technicians, share knowledge, and interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Graduation*
- Must hold Certified System Technician (ST) certification
- Must have passed Certified Diagnostic Technician (CDT) final exam
- Diploma/Graduation in Automobile / Mechanical / Mechatronics or equivalent
Preferred:
Certificate in Automotive Mechatronics (CAM)
Advanced Diploma in Automotive Mechatronics (ADAM)
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a System Technician
and further passed Certified Diagnostic technician (CDT) qualification final exam.
Experience in at least one specialization (preferably two)
